Talking Cures Training was set up to address a gap in the way that the 'talking therapies' such as Hypnotherapy, NLP and Counselling are usually delivered.
Although it is widely understood that these therapies are holistic in nature, they are usually taught from a western clinical perspective and while this model is useful, it has certain limitations. These include a failure to acknowledge a spiritual/ energetic dimension to a person and the issues they are experiencing, as well as failing to address the issue of why a person has manifested a particular issue in their life, and once resolved, how they can prevent a reoccurrence.
At Talking Cures Training we strongly believe that the model of illness/ wellness used by many indigenous cultures from across the globe, sometimes called a 'shamanic model' has much to offer and addresses the shortfalls of the clinical approach.
So the courses we offer all have a 'shamanic' aspect to them, and especially how this can be adapted to suit a modern western clientele. Some of our courses are intended for people just starting out in the field of hypnotherapy and NLP, while others are aimed at current practitioners who want to expand and improve their skills by including a more shamanic approach.

Graduates from this course are eligible for professional registration with The General Hypnotherapy Register (The GHSCR is a Registering Agency) at full Practitioner status, together with the acquisition of the industry-based award ïs The General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GQHP).
